Schmidtis Children’s Songs are handmade and humorous and bring warmth to the world. With a ukulele and funny sounds, SCHMIDTI tells of adventures, of nature or of the days of the week and numbers.
Schmidti's children's songs are an encounter at eye level. Strengthening children with songs and getting people talking about our world is an important concern for SCHMIDTI. The songs can open doors to new topics. They tell, for example, about all the emotions inside you, about cultural diversity and about being quiet in a noisy world. Schmidtis children's songs are about tolerance, love for nature and a respectful togetherness. The songs are stories of people and animals, they strengthen self-confidence and question gender clichés. Besides that, they are fun, too!
This page is a growing collection of children's songs. SCHMIDTI writes children's songs for the whole family - to listen to alone or together. Their stories tell of small and grown up everyday-heroes.
SCHMIDTI lives, works and sings mainly in Berlin. As an all-round artist, she produces music and videos and writes stories. She prefers to work on the edge of analogue and digital. Together with her friends Kenda and Hala, she translates her children's songs from German into Arabic.
The Arabic translation of the songs is kindly funded by the Berlin Senate as part of the funding for projects for young audiences (2021).
